ABOUT Raw mango rice RECIPE

Tangy, yummy raw mango rice cooked with raw mango and spices.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boiled rice 2 cup
  2. Grated raw mango 2 tbsp
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Turmeric powder 2 tsp
  5. Chopped green chili 1 tbsp
  6. Finely chopped onion 1 tbsp
  7. Red Chili Powder 1 Tsp
  8. Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
  9. Curry leaves 11-12
  10. Chana dal 1 tbsp
  11. Whole red chillis - 2
  12. Ghee or oil 2 tbsp
  13. curry leaves for garnish.

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add mustard seeds as they crackle add broken red chili, green chili, chana dal, curry leaves and saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Now add onion and saute till light golden, lower the flame then add turmeric, red chili powder, salt, grated mango and 2 tbsp water, cook the massala till oil separates.
  3. Now add boiled rice mix well with massala, cook 2 minutes more, switch off the gas.
  4. garnish with curry leaves and Serve hot.
