Ingredients to make Kadi fafda

  • For fafda:
  • Besan or chik pea flour 1 cup
  • Ajwain 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4tsp
  • Oil 1 tbs+frying
  • Baking soda pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • For kadi :
  • Besan or chikpea flour 1/2 cup
  • Mustard seed 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves 4 to 5
  • Ginger chilly paste 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Aseofatida or hing pinch
  • Fenugreak seed 1/8 tsp
  • Water 1 cup
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

How to make Kadi fafda

  1. For fafda:
  2. Add all ingredients of fafda in a bowl.
  3. Rub the flour for 2 to 3 minutes with your palm.
  4. Add sufficient water to make a medium hard dough.
  5. Take a small portion and flatten with rolling pin.
  6. Cut it horizontally.
  7. Deep fry in very hot oil and take out in kitchen towel.
  8. For kadi:
  9. Add oil in a nonstick pan add mustard seed, curry leaves.
  10. Add hing, haldi, Methi, salt, and besan.
  11. Add water stirring constantly until thicken.
  12. Switch off the flame and serve with fafda.
  13. It tastes best with fried chilly.
My Tip: The more you rub the mixture, the fafda will be more crispier.
