Ingredients to make Sfouf Cupcakes

  • 1 cup fine Semolina
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup almonds, slivered

How to make Sfouf Cupcakes

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners. In a mixing bowl add semolina, flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and turmeric powder.
  2. Stir to combine. Add in milk and oil and whisk to combine. Pour the batter into prepared cupcake liners and top with slivered almonds.
  3. Bake them in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the centre of the cupcake comes out clean.
  4. Remove from oven, cool on a wire rack.
