Ingredients to make gehu ki khichdi ( whole wheat khichdi)

  • 1 cup whole wheat
  • 1/4 cup yellow moong dal
  • Salt
  • half tbsp turmeric
  • 3 cups water

How to make gehu ki khichdi ( whole wheat khichdi)

  1. soak whole wheat in morning for 8 hours and then grind in mixer grinder.
  2. Take a bowl , add whole wheat crushed , add yellow moongdal , salt , turmeric and three cups of water .
  3. cook this in a pressure cooker on medium flame and bring it upto 5/6 whistles. This will take some time as we are also cooking wheat.
  4. open the lid serve hot with dollop of ghee and enjoy hot.
My Tip: To make tasty you can add 1 tbsp oil & temper it with mustard seeds , red chilly &onion .
