Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 250 gm poha [flattened rice]
  2. One big onion chopped
  3. One big tomato chopped
  4. Green chilli as per your taste
  5. 100 gm paneer cubes [Indian cottage cheese]
  6. Coriander leave [handful]
  7. Salt
  8. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. One tea spn lemon juice
  10. A pinch of garam masala
  11. 2 tbsp Coconut [grated]
  12. Curry leaves 10
  13. mustard seeds 1 tsp
  14. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  15. Green peas 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Wash the poha and keep it aside to strain.
  2. Heat a kadhai with some oil.
  3. Add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, green chillies and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  4. Add the chopped onion and saute till transluscent. Add the green peas.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook for few minutes. Then add the paneer cubes.
  6. Add the powdered masalas and cook further.
  7. Finally add the lemon juice, the washed poha, and 1/2 cup of water. Let this cook and get all dried up.
  8. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and scraped coconut.
  9. Serve with some more ghee on top.
