Raddish Chutney

Ingredients to make Raddish Chutney

  • Onion :1 big
  • Tomatoes:2
  • Raddish :1/4 kg
  • Garlic: 5 cloves
  • Tamarind: small piece
  • Red chilli:3
  • Coconut: :1/4 cup
  • Oil :2 tablespoons
  • Urad dal : 1 spoon
  • Channa dal:1 tbsp
  • Salt :as required
  • Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
  • curry leaves ; 10

How to make Raddish Chutney

  1. Wash all onion, tomatoes and radish and chop them roughly.
  2. Heat oil and fry urad dal ,Channa dal and red chilli till turns brown.
  3. Add onion and Saute till translucent.
  4. Add tomatoes , garlic and radish .
  5. Allow it to cool and grind along with salt, tamarind and coconut.
  6. While grinding , you need not add water .
  7. For tempering : Heat oil , add the mustard seeds. once they splutter, add curry leaves.
  8. This goes well with idli, dosa and Pongal
