ABOUT Raddish Chutney RECIPE

A different and delicious chutney to be served with idli and dosas.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onion :1 big
  2. Tomatoes:2
  3. Raddish :1/4 kg
  4. Garlic: 5 cloves
  5. Tamarind: small piece
  6. Red chilli:3
  7. Coconut: :1/4 cup
  8. Oil :2 tablespoons
  9. Urad dal : 1 spoon
  10. Channa dal:1 tbsp
  11. Salt :as required
  12. Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
  13. curry leaves ; 10

Instructions

  1. Wash all onion, tomatoes and radish and chop them roughly.
  2. Heat oil and fry urad dal ,Channa dal and red chilli till turns brown.
  3. Add onion and Saute till translucent.
  4. Add tomatoes , garlic and radish .
  5. Allow it to cool and grind along with salt, tamarind and coconut.
  6. While grinding , you need not add water .
  7. For tempering : Heat oil , add the mustard seeds. once they splutter, add curry leaves.
  8. This goes well with idli, dosa and Pongal
