ABOUT Besan Ka Salan RECIPE

A very famous , light and healthy Hyderabadi dish served mainly during breakfast . Loved and desired by everyone . Breakfast will be done in less than 20 mins and does not even require many ingredients . Enjoy this with chapatis or bread .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Besan or gram flour 1 cup
  2. Water 3 Cups
  3. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  4. Red chilli flakes 1 tsp heaped (red chilli powder or green chillies can be added if desired )
  5. 1 LARGE ONION CHOPPED
  6. Chopped coriander ; a handful
  7. oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a pan , heat the oil .
  2. Add in the finely chopped onions and let it brown .
  3. Next , add in chilli flakes and stir again .
  4. Add in the turmeric and stir again .
  5. Add in the besan and roast it for about 3-4 mins until the raw smell fades away .
  6. Let it roast on low flame and as a next step , add in 3 cups of water .
  7. Stir continuously till the besan has started to thicken to the desired consistency .
  8. As the last step , add in the chopped coriander and let it simmer for a minute .
  9. Serve hot with chapatis or even bread .
