Ingredients to make Restaurant style butter paneer

  • 1/2 Kg cottage cheese
  • 300 gm red tomatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 green chilies
  • 1 Stick cinnamon
  • 4 GREEN cardamom
  • 2 clove
  • salt to taste
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp or to taste
  • kasoori methi powder2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • ginger, garlic paste 1 tsp
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • cashew nut paste 1/1/2 tbsp you can use broken cashew nut too
  • FRESH cream 2 TBSP
  • Desi ghee 1 tsp
  • butter 50 gm
  • coriander and cream for garnishing

How to make Restaurant style butter paneer

  1. Wash and roughly cut the tomatoes, In a heavy bottom pan put tomatoes, green chili, salt, cinnamon, onion, cardamom, cloves and 2 cup water, cook it for 15 minutes .
  2. Blend the red capsicum and make a smooth puree in blender. Cool and blend the cooked tomato mixer and sieve it.
  3. Heat the ghee saute the ginger, garlic paste. Add tomato puree, garam masala powder, red chili powder and capsicum puree .
  4. cook with stirring to 5 minutes. Now add cashew nut paste, kasoori methi powder cook for 5 minute then add paneer cubes again cook for 10 minute add 2 tbsp cream mix well, stir 2 minute more, switch off the gas.
  5. Garnish with coriander, cream and ginger Julian, serve hot with laccha paratha or rumali roti.

My Tip:

you can fry the cottage cheese pieces. For cashew nut paste, soak the cashew nut in warm water for 15 minutes then make a paste in blender. Use kashmiri red chili instead of red capsicum .
