Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 6 small size potato
  2. 2 midium size onion
  3. 2 medium size tomato
  4. 7cloves of garlic
  5. 1/2 inch ginger
  6. 7 to 8 cashunuts
  7. 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  8. 1/2 tsp sauf powder
  9. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1 table spoon kashmiri red chilly powder
  11. 2 tsp coriander powder
  12. 1/2 tsp black cardamom powder
  13. salt as per taste
  14. 1/2 tsp kasuri methi
  15. 1 1/2 table spoon curd
  16. 1/2 cup oil
  17. Pinch of Asafotida
  18. 1 Cup water

Instructions

  1. First peel potato and boli them in cooker for only two whistle.
  2. Now take this bolied potato one by one and with the help of fork ,prick them.
  3. Now take a bowl and add all potato than add pinch of turmeric powder,some red chilly powder,some salt and ginger powder and sauf powder .
  4. Now add 1 tsp oil and mix all the ingredients .
  5. Now rest this marinated potato for 10 minutes.
  6. Heat the pan and add 1table spoon of oli than add garlic cloves and gingerand saute till it change the colour .
  7. Than add sliced onion and saute till it changes colour .
  8. Than add diced tomato and saute till it soft and now add cashnuts and switch off the flame.
  9. Let cool this mixture .now put other pan and add 2 table spoon oil heat the oil than add marinated potatoes and fry them on medium heat . when it become golden brown transfer in a plate.
  10. Now take the mixture and make fine paste.
  11. Now heat the pan and add 2 table spoon oil than add pinch of asafotida and add paste and saute this paste till the oil separated .
  12. Now add turmeric powder ,red chilly powder,coriander powder,garam masala and saute it for five second than add black cardemom powder and saute for 2 second.
  13. Now add curd and mix it well .
  14. Now add marinated and fried potatoes in the gravy and mix it well .
  15. Now add 1cup water and on slow flame let it boil for 5 minute .
  16. After that add cream and mix it well and than add kasuri methi and leave it for 1 minute.
  17. Now switch off the flame and a aromatic and tasty dum aloo is ready
