Barbeque masala Prawns

Ingredients to make Barbeque masala Prawns

  • King prawns 10-15
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  • Red chilly powder 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Coriander and cumin powder 2 teaspoon
  • Chicken masala/ garam masala 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder 1 pinch
  • Half lemon juice or one slice of kokum
  • Salt to taste
  • OIL FOR BRUSHING

How to make Barbeque masala Prawns

  1. Clean and devein prawns. You can keep tail sheath for presentation purpose and also to give it a support wihile threading
  2. Marinate prawns in all spices and ginger garlic paste with lemon or kokum
  3. Let the marinade rest for 30 minutes
  4. After 30 minutes, thread prawns to skewer
  5. Cook them over gas flame
  6. You can keep metal mesh over the burner in order to avoid charring of prawns due to direct heat.
  7. Edges would start blackening, flip to other side. Brush some oil in between
  8. Cook from all the sides. This may take roughly 5 minutes.
  9. Remove from skewer and plate

My Tip:

Do not overcook or charr prawns as they get rubbery and hard on overheating.
