Garlic Butter Mushrooms

Ingredients to make Garlic Butter Mushrooms

  • Button mushrooms 1 packet/ 200 gm
  • Spring onion bulbs 2
  • Garlic cloves 7-8
  • Ginger paste 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green chilly 2
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • butter 1 tablespoon
  • Pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mixed herbs for sprinkling 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander and spring onion for garnishing
  • Salt to taste

How to make Garlic Butter Mushrooms

  1. Clean and remove all dirt over mushrooms. Cut them into quarters or half if small in size
  2. Chop spring onion bulbs
  3. Heat butter in pan
  4. Add cumin seeds.
  5. Slit green chillies and add to butter
  6. Add minced garlic cloves and ginger paste and saute well
  7. Add chopped onion and cook till translucent
  8. At this stage only the aroma will start filling your kitchen
  9. Add mushrooms; mix well and let them cook
  10. Mushrooms will ooze water on heating
  11. Add pepper, mixed herbs and salt
  12. Let the mushrooms cook till all water evaporates
  13. On cooking, mushrooms will turn soft
  14. Garnish with coriander and spring onion
