Ingredients to make Bhindi Masala Fry

  • ladies finger 1/2 kg
  • mustard oil 4 tablespoon
  • coriander powder 1 1/2 spoon
  • garam masala 1/2 spoon
  • turmeric powder 1/2 spoon
  • salt (according to taste)
  • vinegar 1 spoon
  • red chilli powder 1 spoon/4 green chillies
  • cumin seeds 1/2 spoon
  • a pinch of asafoetida

How to make Bhindi Masala Fry

  1. Wash, dry and cut ladies fingers in long shape (horizontally).
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Put cumin and asafoetida. When cumin seeds gets cooked, put ladies fingers and mix on high flame for 1 minute.
  3. Put all spices (turmeric, salt chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala) and vinegar and mix on low flame. Cover with lid and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
  4. Remove the lid. When the ladies finger softens, cook for 5-10 minutes on low flame.
  5. You masala bhindi fry is ready. Serve hot with chapattis.

By adding vinegar, the ladies fingers don't loose its colour, and increases its taste and makes it more tasty.
