Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. ladies finger 1/2 kg
  2. mustard oil 4 tablespoon
  3. coriander powder 1 1/2 spoon
  4. garam masala 1/2 spoon
  5. turmeric powder 1/2 spoon
  6. salt (according to taste)
  7. vinegar 1 spoon
  8. red chilli powder 1 spoon/4 green chillies
  9. cumin seeds 1/2 spoon
  10. a pinch of asafoetida

Instructions

  1. Wash, dry and cut ladies fingers in long shape (horizontally).
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Put cumin and asafoetida. When cumin seeds gets cooked, put ladies fingers and mix on high flame for 1 minute.
  3. Put all spices (turmeric, salt chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala) and vinegar and mix on low flame. Cover with lid and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
  4. Remove the lid. When the ladies finger softens, cook for 5-10 minutes on low flame.
  5. You masala bhindi fry is ready. Serve hot with chapattis.
