ABOUT Besan Nankhatai RECIPE

Indian cookies made with besan and ghee. Crumbly and melt in the mouth cookies.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Gram flour 2 cups
  2. Semolina 1/2 cup
  3. sugar 1 &1/2 cup
  4. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  5. ghee 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. in a bowl whisk ghee and sugar
  2. whisk till it becomes fluffy
  3. add cardmom powder
  4. add gram flour/besan
  5. mix with your hands
  6. if you feel dough loose add little gram flour
  7. make round balls
  8. flatten it little
  9. bake in preheated oven for 160 degrees
  10. bake for half an hour
  11. oven temperature always varies
  12. so keep eye over it
  13. after baked remove on wire rack
  14. cool it completely
  15. store it in air tight container
  16. these can be stored for 15 days
