Ingredients to make Restaurant style Rajma masala

  • 1 cup of boiled kidney beans
  • one big onion
  • 3 diced tomatoes
  • 2 cardamom and 2 -cloves
  • small cinnamon stick
  • bay leaf
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • Butter
  • spices (Tbsp of coriander powder ,garam masala)
  • half tsp of red chilli powder
  • 3 to 4 dry red chillies
  • salt for taste
  • 1 tsp kasoori methi(dry fenugreek leaves)
  • milk or cream

How to make Restaurant style Rajma masala

  1. -Take little oil in vessel and add cloves,cinnamon,cardamom and bay leaf
  2. -Add diced onions and fry for few minutes
  3. -Add garlic and dry red chillies(you can use dry red chillies or chilli powder)
  4. -Add tomatoes and cook until they become mushy
  5. -cool the mixture and blend in blender to smooth paste
  6. -soak kidney beans in water over night.Next day pressure cook them and keep ready
  7. -Take another vessel and add butter to it,when butter melts add blended paste and cook till paste thickens little bit
  8. -Add all spices coriander powder,red chilli powder,garam masala and salt.Give a mix
  9. -Add boiled kidney beans and close the lid. cook for few minutes
  10. -Finally add little milk or fresh cream and garnish with dry fenugreek leaves(kasoori mehti)
  11. -serve hot with naan or rice with salad onions and lemon
