Water Chestnut Stir fry

Ingredients to make Water Chestnut Stir fry

  • water chestnuts 15-20
  • One small onion finely chopped
  • butter 1 teaspoon
  • cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • green chillies 2 slit
  • garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  • pepper 1/4 teaspoon
  • Mixed herbs 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt to taste

How to make Water Chestnut Stir fry

  1. Properly wash water chestnuts
  2. Remove green cover and take the white part
  3. In a pan heat butter
  4. Add cumin seeds and green chillies
  5. Add garlic paste and saute well
  6. Add chopped onion and mix well
  7. Cook till onion is translucent
  8. Add chestnuts
  9. Mix well and add pepper and mixed herbs
  10. Cook for 5 minutes till water chestnuts are coated well with spices.
  11. Add salt, mix well and cook for 5 more minutes.
  12. Switch off the flame and plate

My Tip:

Using good amount of garlic gives it a nice taste
