This easy to make dessert is definitely a crowd pleaser and one more way to enjoy king of fruits when in season. I thank my friend who shared her recipe with me

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mango pulp 1/2 cup, fresh or canned
  2. Sago pearls/ Sabudana, 1/4 cup
  3. Milk 1/2 cup
  4. Condensed milk 1/4 cup
  5. Sugar 1 tbsp
  6. Cardamom pods 3-4, crushed into powder
  7. Fruit chunks/mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash, clean and soak sago pearls/sabudana in enough water for an hour.
  2. Wash and rinse it once again, and boil it in 2 cups of hot water.
  3. Add a tablespoon of sugar to sago pearls while boiling
  4. Once they turn transparent, switch off the flame.
  5. Drain the water and hold the strainer with pearls below running water.
  6. Keep it aside.
  7. Peel the mango and squeeze out the fruit pulp.
  8. Mix it with milk, condensed milk in a blender and blend it to smooth paste.
  9. Transfer the paste to a big vessel or serving bowls.
  10. Mix in boiled sago pearls and give a nice stir.
  11. Serve it chilled, garnished with mango cubes/mint leaves
  12. You may also use whipping cream, nuts of your choice or chocolate shavings for garnish as per its availability
