Ingredients to make Saag meat

  • Spinach-1/2 kg
  • Sunflower oil
  • Mutton-curry cut-500gm
  • Green chillies-6
  • Ginger garlic paste-2 tbsp
  • Dhaniya powder-2tsp
  • Tomato chopped-1
  • Onion paste-2 tbsp
  • Sugar and salt as per taste
  • Turmeric-1 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder-2 tsp
  • Kasuri methi-a handful
  • Garam masala powder-2tsp

How to make Saag meat

  1. Boil the spinach and then make a paste of it in the mixie, along with 2 green chillies and salt.Keep aside.
  2. Boil the mutton along with 2chopped garlic and salt and keep aside
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add the onion paste.Fry till golden brown.
  4. To it add the chopped tomatoes.fry till mushy.
  5. Then add the ginger garlic paste till the raw smell goes off.
  6. Mix the turmeric powder,red chilli powder and dhaniya powder.Fry for 2 min.
  7. Now add the mutton and mix well.
  8. Add salt and sugar.
  9. Next add the spinach well and cook well till the oil comes up.
  10. Sprinkle with kasuri methi and add butter.
  11. Serve hot with chapati,paratha,naan.
