Ingredients to make Sevai pulao (Rice vermicelli pulao)

  • Rice vermicelli-1 cup
  • Capsicum-1 medium
  • Carrots-2
  • Green peas-2 tbsp
  • French beans-15 to 20
  • Cauliflower-6 to 8 small florets
  • Onion-1 big
  • oil-1 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds-1 tsp
  • Urad dal-1 tsp
  • Curry Leaves-8
  • Cashews-6
  • Turmeric-1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder-1 tsp
  • Lemon juice-1 tsp

How to make Sevai pulao (Rice vermicelli pulao)

  1. Boil vermicelli in hot water with some salt and a spoon of oil.
  2. Drain the vermicelli when cooked.Pour cold water.
  3. Chop all vegetables finely.
  4. Take a pan and pour oil.When oil heats add cumin seeds,then curry leaves.
  5. Now add urad dal and cashews.Saute till brown.
  6. Add onions and green chillies.Saute till translucent.
  7. Now add all chopped vegetables.Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Add all spices like salt,tuemeric,chilli powder.Mix properly.
  9. Now add cooked vermicelli to these vegetables and also lemon juice.Mix properly and cook for 2 minutes.
  10. Serve hot garnished with coriander.
