Ingredients to make Chickpeas tikki

  • Chickpeas - 1 cup(boiled)
  • Peas - ½ tbps (boiled)
  • Carrot-1 small (grated)
  • Green chilli - 1 (chopped)
  • Onion - 1(chopped)
  • coriander leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Oil- for shallow frying
  • Semolina - for coating
  • Dry spices:
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Chaat masala ¼tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • For garnishing
  • Pomegranate pearls as required
  • Cucumber slices as required
  • Tomato slices as required

How to make Chickpeas tikki

  1. Put the boiled chickpeas in a bowl and mash them.
  2. Now add boiled peas and mash it again,Add the all other ingredients except oil and semolina.And mix it well.
  3. Now take a little amount of mixture and make tikki shape and repeat it with the whole mixture.
  4. Now tikkies are ready for frying so coat them with semolina and shallow fry on non-stick pan with oil.
  5. Our tikkies are ready now.Serve it with cucumber,tomato,pomegranate and coriander chutney.
