Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 11/2 cups- tiny shaped macaroni (small size)
  2. 3 tbsp- custard powder (any flavour)
  3. 41/2 cups- full cream milk
  4. 3/4 to 1 cup- sugar (depends on individuals taste)
  5. 4 glass water for boiling macaroni
  6. 2 tbsp- vanilla essence
  7. 3 tbsp- almond and pistachio chopped
  8. few strands of saffron
  9. 1 cup- whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Boil macaroni in 4 glass water (till quarter done), sieve the water and put macaroni aside.
  2. On the other hand put 4 cups milk in a sauce pan and boil (whereas the remaining 1/2 cup milk will be used in stirring the custard powder). then add the macaroni to the saucepan (which is quarterly cooked) for 5 mins.
  3. Then add sugar and cook for 10 mins.
  4. After the 10 mins are over use the remaining 1/2 cup milk in a cup stir this with 3 tbsp custard powder. mix this well.
  5. Then add this mixture of milk and custard powder to the macaroni milk in the saucepan. cook for 5 more mins until the mixture thickens.
  6. Switch off the flame, serve in a bowl and thus put the bowl in fridge and let it cool.
  7. After it has cooled down put 1 cup whipped cream and mix well
  8. Lastly decorate your kheer with chopped almond,pistachios and few strands of saffron. enjoy
