ABOUT Kalakand RECIPE

By using few ingredients like condensed milk, paneer and a flavoring ingredient like cardamom powder, It tastes delicious and has a crumbly texture .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 200gms condensed milk(homemade)
  2. 250gms fresh paneer
  3. 1 tbsp Milk Powder
  4. 1 cup chopped pista kaju and almonds
  5. 5-6 cardamom finely grounded
  6. To make condensed milk:
  7. 500 gms of milk
  8. sugar- 1 small katori

Instructions

  1. Boil 500 ml milk. Add 1 small katori of sugar. Reduce milk for about 10 minutes. Milk will start to thicken, stir continuously and cook for about five more minutes.
  2. Cool & transfer into glass jar or bottle. In a bowl mix paneer, condensed milk and milk powder
  3. .Put this mixture in a nonstick kadahi and cook on medium heat,add cardamom powder,stir continously till it leave the sides.
  4. Spread it on a greased thali, spread dryfruits over it. Press it little to properly stick to mithai.
  5. Garnish with kesar strands. keep it in fridge when slightly cool down.Keep in fridge for 3-4 hours.Cut pieces in desired shape nd enjoy.
