Chinese Quinoa Pineapple Fried Rice

Ingredients to make Chinese Quinoa Pineapple Fried Rice

  • Quinoa 1/2 cup
  • Pineapple pieces 1/2 cup
  • Carrot diced 1
  • Green onion chopped 1/3 cup
  • Ginger minced 1/3 tsp
  • Garlic pods 3 chopped
  • Corn frozen 1/2 cup
  • Crushed red chilli 1/4 tsp
  • Vinegar 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  • Ajinomoto a pinch
  • salt as per taste
  • Chilli sauce 1 tsp
  • oil

How to make Chinese Quinoa Pineapple Fried Rice

  1. Wash cut pineapple into small cubes
  2. Chop spring onions
  3. Grate ginger and garlic
  4. To cook quinoa boil it in 1 1/2 cup of water , stir then cover with a lid until all the water dries up
  5. Heat a nonstick frying pan
  6. Add oil , when hot enough add ginger and garlic
  7. Saute for a minute
  8. Now add chopped carrot , spring onions and pineapple
  9. Saute and cover with lid again for 2_3 mins
  10. Add turmeric powder , Chilli powder and salt
  11. Saute for 1_2 mins more
  12. Now add quinoa , saute again for 2_3 mins
  13. Add soy sauce , vinegar and chilli sauce
  14. Stir well
  15. Add a pinch of ajinomoto and chilli flakes
  16. Check for salt , adjust as per your taste
  17. Serve hot or at room temperature
My Tip: You can use brown rice or white rice instead of quinoa .
