Ingredients to make Microwave pedas

  • 1- 1/2 cup whole milk powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup full cream milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • A few strands of saffron
  • Silver balls for decoration

How to make Microwave pedas

  1. Add all the ingredients into a microwave safe bowl. Set power to high. Stir well and microwave for 2 minutes.
  2. Keep stirring after every 2 minutes. (You will know it is done when the mixture begins to come together.)
  3. Once done, allow it to cool a bit, then form peda shapes and add a silver ball on top of each peda in the center .
  4. Alternatively you can knead lightly and put into marzipan moulds. Lightly grease the moulds with butter.

My Tip:

- I like to add a teaspoon of grand marnier and some orange rind for a bit of a twist. It gives the pedas a subtle orange flavour. - I used a 1200 W microwave the timing would depend on your microwave. The above recipe yielded around 45 bite size pedas
