Pitala / Zunka

Ingredients to make Pitala / Zunka

  • 1 cup Besan aata
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 To 5 Red chillies
  • 8 to 10 curry leaves
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp hing [Asfatoedia]
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 cup water or as required
  • Chopped coriander leaves

How to make Pitala / Zunka

  1. Take besan aata strain in a deep bowl add in salt , turmeric powder mix well then add in water mix all together and keep aside
  2. Now heat kadai on gas add oil
  3. Put mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves after crackles add in hing
  4. Add in green chillies , chopped onion saute till light golden colour
  5. Now add mixture of besan in kadai mix well till become thicken
  6. Keep lid for 4 to 5 min for steam
  7. After add chopped coriender leaves mix well
  8. Serve hot with bhakri
My Tip: I used besan without roasted, if want we can roast in masala and then add water as required.
