Dhaba Style Kheema Masala...

Ingredients to make Dhaba Style Kheema Masala...

  • Mutton mince 500gm
  • Green peas boiled 1/2 a cup
  • Potatoes diced and deep fried 1 cup (optional)
  • chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • turmeric a pinch
  • Green chillies chopped 2
  • Bay leaf 1
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Cloves 4
  • Ginger paste 1 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red onions chopped 2
  • Fresh tomatoes pureed 2
  • Fennel powder 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Milk 2 tbsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Onion Rings few
  • Coriander leaves chopped few
  • Ginger juliennes few

How to make Dhaba Style Kheema Masala...

  1. Heat oil in a kadai or a cooking pot.
  2. Add the cumin seeds, asafoetida and the bay leaf.
  3. Add in the ginger garlic paste and cloves along with the chopped onions.
  4. Saute until the onions are done.
  5. Next add in the chillies along with the mince.
  6. Saute it on a medium flame until the raw smell fades away.
  7. After 5 minutes, add in the pureed tomatoes along with the rest of the ingredients.
  8. Add the boiled green peas and fried potato cubes to it.
  9. Potato is optional. I added them for my family as they love this dish with potatoes.
  10. Cover and simmer on low flame
  11. Add some water about 1/2 a cup.
  12. The thickness of the gravy can be according to your choice.
  13. So add more water if required.
  14. Garnish with onion rings, coriander and ginger juliennes.
  15. Also garnish with some fried chillies.
  16. Serve hot with some melted butter drizzled on it with naans.
My Tip: Mince should be pure with some fat ,that is what will give an awesome taste to this dish. Otherwise it would be chewy.
