ABOUT Custard cream biscuits RECIPE

Yummy custard flavoured biscuits sandwiched with buttercream filling.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 1/3 cup flour
  2. 1/2 cup custard powder
  3. 1 cup butter , at room temperature
  4. 1/2 cup icing sugar
  5. 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
  6. For buttercream filling
  7. 1/4 cup butter
  8. 1/2 cup icing sugar
  9. Few drops Vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Sieve flour, custard powder and baking soda and keep aside.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar for 2-3 mins, then add the flour just enough to bring all together.
  3. Make small rounds and place on a lined baking tray with space in between to let them expand.
  4. Make criss cross markings with fork pressed on top, once horizontally and then vertically.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 degree C for 15-18 mins in centre rack, till the bottom just starts turning brown
  6. Cool on a wired rack.
  7. For the buttercream filling, cream butter and sugar and vanilla extract till you get a smooth consistency.
  8. Choose equal sized biscuits and sandwich them with the buttercream filling in between.
  9. Enjoy till they last, which I'm sure they won't.
