ABOUT Hakka Noodles RECIPE

Hakka noodles are full of vegetables and Chinese flavours and just perfect to satisfy the hunger pangs of kids as well as adults.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Noodles 1 pack Or 200 gms
  2. 1 onion medium finely chopped
  3. 1/2 cup french beans sliced diagonally
  4. 1/4th Cabbage medium finely shredded
  5. 3 tbsp oil
  6. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  7. 1 medium Carrot cut into thin strips
  8. 1 medium Green capsicum cut into thin strips
  9. 1 tbsp soy sauce
  10. 1 tsp tomato sauce (optional)
  11. 1/4 th cup Bean sprouts 
  12. 1 tbsp Vinegar
  13. Salt to taste
  14. FOR GARNISH
  15. 1 tbsp Spring onion greens
  16. some coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat 5 cups water with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp oil.
  2. Put the noodles in water and allow them to cook for about 4 minutes.
  3. When the noodles are done, strain the noodles and put into another pan with cold water.
  4. Again strain the noodles and spread in a big plate
  5. Heat the remaining 2 tbsps oil in a non-stick wok.
  6. Add onions, capsicum, carrot and toss well on high flame.
  7. Add french beans and cabbage and toss well.
  8. Add the noodles to the vegetables.
  9. Add salt, pepper powder, soy sauce, tomato sauce and toss on high heat.
  10. Add bean sprouts and vinegar and toss again.
  11. Mix well and Serve hot immediately garnished with spring onion greens and coriander leaves.
