Matar Paneer

Ingredients to make Matar Paneer

  • 450 gms fresh peas
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 200 gms cottage cheese
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2tbsp oil
  • 2 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 1tsp ginger
  • 1 medium tomato finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • coriander leaves to garnish

How to make Matar Paneer

  1. 1. Grind together sliced onion, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric, ginger and garlic to a fine paste.
  2. 2. Heat oil to smoking in a wok. Fry the paneer cubes till light brown and keep it aside. Fry the spices and peas in the same oil and keep aside.
  3. 3. Add the tomatoes, salt and a little bit of water. Cook till the peas are soft. Add the paneer and simmer for 6 mins.
  4. 4. Add the curd( beaten form and stir well. Cover and cook for 4mins.
  5. 5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
