Ingredients to make Channa dal khichdi with yellow curd

  • Chana dal 1-2 katori
  • Rice 1 katori
  • Onion sliced 1
  • hung curd 1/2 katori
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • musturd seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Mango chutney for garnishing
  • few banana chips

How to make Channa dal khichdi with yellow curd

  1. Take chana dal in a pan and boil it for 10 minutes and keep it aside
  2. Take a big wok and add jeera , sliced onions and cook it for 2 minutes
  3. Add soaked rice and half cooked chana dal and all the masalas
  4. Add double quantity of water and cover it with lid
  5. Chana dal khichdi is ready
  6. Take hung curd and put some tadka of musturd seeds and turmeric powder and salt to taste
  7. Now serve the khichdi with this hung curd yummy dip
  8. Garnish with mango chutney and banana chips
