Ingredients to make Poha Pancake

  • Poha 1cup
  • onion 1
  • tomato 1
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • chilli flakes 1tsp
  • coriander 1tbsp
  • egg 2 nos.
  • cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • buttermilk (Plain lassi) 1 cup
  • cumin powder 1tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Maggie masala 1/2 tsp or optional
  • oilve oil 2-3 drop for 1 pancake or you can use any vegetable oil

How to make Poha Pancake

  1. Firstly take Poha ,add in a blender and make it coarse powder (Do not wash poha,directly crush)
  2. Now take a bowl add Poha and buttermilk together mix well. Keep aside for 5-10 minutes,it will soak buttermilk completely so if required then add some water later.It should be like pouring consistency.
  3. Now take a pan,add some oil and add cumin seed to splutter.
  4. Now add chopped onions saute well ,and then add tomatoes ,salt,chilli flakes,,salt,cumin powder,garam masala powder and maggie masala,saute for a minute and switch off the flame.Do not over cook.
  5. Now come to poha mixture,add this onion tomato masala in this and mix well.
  6. Check all seasoning and adjust accordingly .
  7. Now add 2 eggs in this mixture and gently mix.Add coriander leaves,mix well.Check consistency well,it should be little thick then idli batter.
  8. Now take a nonstick pan(preferred),add few drop of olive oil,pour little batter and cooked it both side on medium flame till light brown and crunchy.
  9. Enjoy with any salad or sauce as per of your choice.

My Tip:

Consistency should be little thick then idli batter. Add water according to batter as poha soaks more water.
