How To Make Bread Upma

Dil vs dimag ke chakar me bechara peth phas gaya. Finally came up with my version of chatpata 'Bread Upma'. An unusual combination of paneer, almonds, brown bread and pizza sauce. Well to be frank i was left with these ingredients in pantry. So decided to go ahead and got this fabulous output. I am in love with quick fix dishes.

Ingredients to make Bread Upma

  • Brown bread - 4slices
  • Paneer - 100grams
  • Onion - 2
  • Tomato - 2
  • Green chilly - 1
  • Capsicum - few cubes
  • Almonds - few
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/4th tspn
  • Pizza sauce - 4tspn
  • Chilly powder - 1/4th tspn
  • Turmeric powder - little
  • Salt - according to taste
  • Coriander leaves - few
  • Lemon - 1tspn

Steps to make Bread Upma

  1. Make small cubes of bread slices and Paneer and set aside.
  2. In a non stick vessel, add little oil. To it add finely chopped onion cubes and green chilly. Sauté on medium flame till it gets little soft. Add ginger garlic paste. Fry for few seconds. Add tomato cubes. Fry till it gets little soft.
  3. Add spices, almond pieces, salt and pizza sauce. Fry for a minute. Add bread , paneer and capsicum cubes. Toss on high flame till bread gets evenly coated with masala. Finally add dash of lemon juice and garnish with coriander leaves.

    Thank you Ambreen, In my opinion you could add veggies of your choice. Beans, carrots and corn will taste good.
