ABOUT Orange chicken RECIPE

A super awesome chinese dish with the fusion of oranges into the chicken.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Chicken-1 kg boneless
  2. Eggs-2
  3. White pepper-1tsp
  4. Black pepper-1tsp
  5. Sugar and salt as per taste
  6. Ginger and garlic-2 tsp grated
  7. Cornflour-2 tbsp
  8. Sunflower oil
  9. Onion-1 thinly sliced
  10. Sauce ingredients:
  11. Soya sauce-2 tsp
  12. Sugar-1 tbsp
  13. Orange juice of 2 oranges
  14. Orange marmalade-4 tbsp
  15. Water
  16. Chicken stock-1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Take the chicken pieces in a bowl and marinate I with salt, white pepper, black pepper, cornflour and oil.Mix well and keep aside for 15min.
  2. Dip the chicken pieces in egg and flour mixture.
  3. Take oil in a pan and deep fry the chicken pieces.keep aside.
  4. Next add the chopped ginger garlic and onions.Toss well.
  5. Cook till the raw smell goes off.
  6. In the meantime,mix together the orange sauce ingredients.
  7. Add this mixture and chicken stock to the pan and bring it to a boil.
  8. Now add the chicken pieces to it.
  9. Cook till gravy mixes well with chicken.
  10. Then add cornflour and water mixture to thicken the gravy.
  11. Check and cook accordingly​.
  12. Serve with fried rice or noodles.
