Ingredients to make Mint Mutton Chops

  • Boneless Mutton/ Lamb – ½ kg
  • Onion-1
  • Curd – 1/2 cup
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • For Mint Masala :
  • Mint leaves – 1
  • large cup Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
  • Green chilli – 4 – 5 ( according to spice level )
  • Ginger – 1 inch piece
  • Garlic – 5 cloves
  • Cinnamon – a small stick
  • Cloves – 2
  • Salt to taste

How to make Mint Mutton Chops

  1. Make a fine paste by grinding all the ingredients mentioned under ‘mint masala’.
  2. Combine mutton pieces and grounded masala. Leave this to marinade for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Add oil to pressure cooler and when it heats up add in chopped onions. Fry until translucent.
  4. To this add in marinated mutton pieces with leftover masala and ¼ cup water. Season with salt.
  5. Pressure cook for 3 whistles and wait until pressure settles. Cook till desired consistency. Serve.
