ABOUT Mint Mutton Chops RECIPE

Juicy mutton curry cooked in mint sauce. Goes well with rice, phulka, roti or naan.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Boneless Mutton/ Lamb – ½ kg
  2. Onion-1
  3. Curd – 1/2 cup
  4. Oil – 1 tbsp
  5. For Mint Masala :
  6. Mint leaves – 1
  7. large cup Grated coconut – 1/2 cup
  8. Green chilli – 4 – 5 ( according to spice level )
  9. Ginger – 1 inch piece
  10. Garlic – 5 cloves
  11. Cinnamon – a small stick
  12. Cloves – 2
  13. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Make a fine paste by grinding all the ingredients mentioned under ‘mint masala’.
  2. Combine mutton pieces and grounded masala. Leave this to marinade for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Add oil to pressure cooler and when it heats up add in chopped onions. Fry until translucent.
  4. To this add in marinated mutton pieces with leftover masala and ¼ cup water. Season with salt.
  5. Pressure cook for 3 whistles and wait until pressure settles. Cook till desired consistency. Serve.
