Raw papaya barfi

Ingredients to make Raw papaya barfi

  • Raw papaya- 1 (small)
  • Sugar 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder 1/8 tsp
  • 1 cup khoya

How to make Raw papaya barfi

  1. Wash and peel the papaya and clean it's inner side. Then grate the papaya.
  2. Cook the papaya in a heavy bottomed pan for 5-6 minutes by covering until it is 3/4th done.
  3. Next, add in sugar and stir well. (Note that when we add sugar, it leaves water, so make sure to evaporate the water.)
  4. Then add in khoya and continue stirring till the moisture totally dries up.
  5. Grease a tray with ghee and pour the papaya paste on it and spread it uniformly. Once it is set, spread the silver verak on it and cut diamond shapes of the barfi.
  6. Serve warm as now this barfi is ready to be eaten.
