MANGO PATISAPTA

Ingredients to make MANGO PATISAPTA

  • Ripe mango pulp - 1 cup
  • Semolina - 4 tabsp
  • Maida - 1/2cup
  • Rice flour - 2tabsp
  • Baking soda - 1/4 th tsp
  • Powdered sugar - as per sweetness of the mango pulp .
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Ghee/ Refined oil - for tawa frying.
  • For stuffing -- Khoya - 1 cup (crumbled)
  • Ripe mango pulp - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 1 tsp

How to make MANGO PATISAPTA

  1. In a mixing bowl ,add mango pulp, maida , rice flour, baking powder ,powdered sugar and milk and make a smooth pouring consistency batter.If it becomes thick, you may add some milk. Keep it aside.
  2. Meanwhile prepare for the stuffing. In a low flame heat ghee in a non-stick pan and add mango pulp and khoya. Cook till it leaves the sides of the pan. Switch off the gas.Let it cool .
  3. Heat oil or butter in the same pan. Take one big spoonful of batter and spread it lightly with the spoon on a low flame. Spread little ghee or oil all round the patisapta .
  4. Now roast the other side.Place a spoonful of mango stuffing at the cantre and roll it. Likewise prepare the rest of patisaptas in the same process. Patisapta is ready to be served.

Please note if the patisapta bears small net like holes while frying, you are sure making the perfect ones That's the true beauty of patisapta
