Ingredients to make Daal pakwan shots

  • For daal
  • 1 cup bengal gram(chana daal)
  • 1 Tbs ginger and garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbs Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Haldi powder
  • 1 tsp lal mirchi
  • 1/2 tsp Dhaniya powder
  • 1/2 garam masala
  • For pakwan
  • 1 cup refined flour
  • 1 /2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbs Oil
  • For assembly
  • 3 tbs fine chopped tomatoes
  • 3 tbs fine chopped onions
  • Mint Chutney
  • tamarind sauce
  • 2 tbs nylon sev
  • Chopped Coriander

How to make Daal pakwan shots

  1. Soak chana dal for 2 to 3 hours and pressure cook it with salt and haldi and pressure cook it for 2 to 3 whistles. .
  2. In a pan add 1 TBS of oil and add ginger garlic paste, dhaniya powder.garam masala. Dal is ready.
  3. For pakwan need the ingredients which are listed in pakwan section
  4. Knead the dough and keep it aside for 1 /2 hour.
  5. Now take a ball sized dough and roll it with rolling pin in the form of chapati.
  6. Now cut the chapati in triangle.like pizza and prick it with fork so that while frying it does not fluff up.
  7. Keep these triangles for 1/2 hour covered with a cloth.
  8. After this fry it in oil.and drain on an absorbent paper.
  9. Tale a short glasses
  10. Arrange the daal at the bottom ,then mint chutney and over it tamarind sauce.
  11. Then again spread the dal and repeat the process.
  12. After that sprinkle chopped tomatoes , onions, sev and coriander leaves.
  13. Arrange a triangle pakwan over it and serve it.
  14. Taaadaa ur delicious and yummmilicious dal pakwan shots are ready to serve.

My Tip:

Dont pour hot dal in the glasses just cool it and then arrange in a glass.
