Jujeh Kebab (Chicken Leg with Cranberry Pilaf)

Ingredients to make Jujeh Kebab (Chicken Leg with Cranberry Pilaf)

  • A nice big piece of chicken - give some nice deep cuts
  • Some 7 to 8 tomatoes chopped very finely
  • 2 onions chopped very finely
  • 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Tandoori masala 1 tbsp
  • GARAM MASALA 1 TBSP
  • Lemon juice about 1 tbsp
  • Oil about 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder - according to the heat you can take
  • Some mint leaves chopped
  • Some parsely leaves chopped
  • What You Need for the Rice:
  • 1 cup basmati rice soaked in water for 10 minutes
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • Some whole spices like cloves, green cardamom, bay leaf and a small cinnamon stick.
  • Some chopped dry fruits like almonds and pistachio
  • Some dried cranberry
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

How to make Jujeh Kebab (Chicken Leg with Cranberry Pilaf)

  1. Heat Oil in a pan. Add ginger garlic paste. Let it cook, next add some onions and cook till it turns brown. Next throw in tomatoes, spices, herbs and let it cook till tomatoes are almost cooked and there is no raw smell left in the pan. Not

  3. Add half cup water and let the chicken cook in a low to medium flame.

  5. Add 2 cups of water and cook on high till you hear 2 to 3 whistles.
  6. Thats is all you need to cook rice.
