About Ragi Ribbon Pakoda/Fingermillet Ribbon Pakoda Recipe

This pakodas are usually prepared with usual gramflour and rice flour. But my today's version goes for the healthy, nutritious ragi flour aka fingermillet flour.

Ragi Ribbon Pakoda/Fingermillet Ribbon Pakoda

Ingredients to make Ragi Ribbon Pakoda/Fingermillet Ribbon Pakoda

  • 2 cup Ragi flour/finger millet flour (roasted)
  • 1 cup Gramflour
  • 1/4 cup Rice flour
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida powder
  • salt
  • oil for deep frying

How to make Ragi Ribbon Pakoda/Fingermillet Ribbon Pakoda

  1. Take the ragi flour,gram flour, rice flour, asafoetida powder,salt , sesame seeds,butter in a large bowl, gradually add the water and knead as a soft and stiff dough.
  2. Heat the oil for deep frying. Meanwhile take the murukku press with the ribbon nozzle, put a ball of this dough and press directly to the hot oil.
  3. Fry the ribbon pakoda on both sides until they gets well cooked. Drain the excess of oil with a paper towel and arrange in a an air tightened box.
