ABOUT Baked Aaloo Tikka... RECIPE

A stunningly beautiful whole potato dish marinated with tikka masala. The best part is that it is baked and does not require much oil unlike chicken tikka. Simple spices and the fiery red pepper gives it that amazing colour and hue. Try this out in any party as an appetizer and it will surely turn out to be a crowd pleaser. Choose any potatoes, either big or small, it tastes equally great.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Potatoes halved 12
  2. Paprika powder 1 tbsp
  3. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Butter 1 tbsp
  6. Dry parsley flakes 1 tbsp
  7. Tikka masala 2 tbsp
  8. Tandoori masala 2 tbsp
  9. Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  10. OR
  11. White vinegar 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes well because the skin will have to be intact.
  2. Skin should not be peeled.
  3. Marinate them with all the spices and leave it on the counter for 30 to 50 minutes.
  4. It is better if you first preheat the oven to 240° for 5 -8 minutes
  5. Line up the baking tray with an aluminium foil and grease it well.
  6. Next arrange the marinated potato halves accordingly.
  7. Bake these for about 40 minutes.
  8. After 20-25 minutes of baking, decrease the temperature to 200°.
  9. Serve them hot with or without dip.
  10. They taste great on their own.
