ABOUT Beet Rice RECIPE

Healthy and tasty, beetroot increases the haemoglobin level

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. One big beetroot
  2. Grated coconut 2table spoon
  3. Cooked rice 2 cups
  4. For grinding: 1/2tsp chana dal, 1/2tsp urad dal, 2 red chilli.
  5. For seasoning: 2tsp oil, 1tsp sesame seeds, 1/2tsp Cumin seeds

Instructions

  1. Fry all ingredients mentioned for grinding into golden brown Grind them coarsely in a mixer.
  2. Cut or grate the beetroot finely.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add sesame seeds, cumin seeds, let them crackle.
  4. Add beetroot and cook until become soft and add the salt to taste, ground powder, grated coconut, pinch Hing powder and curry leaves.
  5. Mix well and cook until the moisture dries completely.
  6. Add cooked rice, pour 1 tab sp oil or ghee over it and mix well. Serve with any type of raitha.
