Vitla Khandvi

Ingredients to make Vitla Khandvi

  • Besan 1 cup
  • Butter milk 3 cups
  • Adrak Mirchi paste 1 spoon
  • Haldi 1 tea spoon
  • Salt as per taste
  • Coriander 1 cup
  • Oil 1 spoon
  • Mustard seeds 1 spoon
  • Til seeds 2 spoons
  • curry leaves
  • Grated coconut
  • Mirchi powder
  • Grated beetroot/carrots optional.

How to make Vitla Khandvi

  1. Take a big mixing bowl add in besan, buttermilk, salt, 1 to 2 spoons of coriander, Adrak Mirchi paste, salt, Haldi and mix it with the batter.
  2. Take one pan add in the mixed liquid and cook it till it starts leaving the pan.
  3. Quickly drop in the cooked mixture on greased plate and flatten it in a thin sheet.
  4. This step is option add in beetroot, carrots, coconut and Mirchi powder, coriander and make rolls.
  5. Arrange all the rolls in a serving dish.
  6. Take spoon oil add in mustard seeds, Til, cury leaves and spread it over rolls. Sprinkle chilly powder, coriander and coconut.
