ABOUT Healthy Berries and Banana Almond Milk smoothie RECIPE

This nutritious smoothie has an exquisite colour, tastes delicious and the three fruits complement each other very well. Both, strawberries and blue berries are full of vitamin C, fibre and antioxidants. No added sugar in this one.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Fresh Blueberries - 1/2 Cup
  2. Bananas - 2 medium size
  3. Fresh Strawberries - 1/2 cup
  4. Homemade Almond Milk - 1 Cup
  5. Honey / Maple syrup / Date syrup (optional) - to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean, cut and freeze all the fruits in individual zip lock bags for no fuss, quick healthy grab.
  2. Freezing the fruits gives a thick smooth texture to the smoothie and you don’t need to add ice that makes it watery.
  3. Prepare almond milk or use the commercial one.
  4. Place the banana pieces in the blender and then add the berries. Pour almond milk on top and add honey or whichever sweetener you plan to use.
  5. Cover and blend at high-speed for 10 seconds or until smooth.
  6. Pour it in an open mason jar or a glass and serve chilled.
