Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Medjool Dates - 1/4 cup (Pitted and finely chopped)
  2. Banana - 2 medium size Ripe ones
  3. Apple - 1 medium size
  4. Dash of cinnamon powder
  5. Home cultured thick Yogurt / Greek Yogurt - 1/2 cup
  6. Ice Cubes - 4-6

Instructions

  1. As Medjool dates are soft in texture I don't soak them. Just cut them real small.
  2. Cut and freeze apple and banana. You can use it fresh too but freezing gives creamier smoothie.
  3. In a blender add the fruits and yoghurt and blend until smooth. Sometimes you may find small pieces of dates but that taste very nice. I like something to chew on. You can make a paste of dates before adding if pieces are not your thing.
  4. No added sugar/honey or any syrup in this one.
  5. Pour into a tall glass, add a dash of cinnamon powder, a few ice cubes and it is ready to drink. I add a little coffee sometimes but that's rare.
