Ingredients to make Pasta In Red Sauce

  • Pasta-1 cup
  • Water-3 cups
  • Salt-1/2 tsp
  • Oil-1/2 tsp
  • For Red Sauce:
  • Olive oil-1 tbsp
  • Garlic-5 cloves
  • Onion-1 big
  • Tomatoes-2
  • bay leaf-1
  • Sugar-1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper-1 tsp
  • Mixed herbs-1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Capsicum-1

How to make Pasta In Red Sauce

  1. Take a big pan with 3 cups water and boil.Add pasta, salt and oil.Cook pasta till done on medium flame.
  2. Drain in a colander and pour cold water on it to stop further cooking.Fluff it with a fork.
  3. Now take a pan for preparing the pasta sauce.
  4. Take oil in the pan.Add bay leaf.Add finely chopped garlic and saute.
  5. Now add finely chopped onions.Saute till they turn translucent.
  6. Grind tomatoes in mixer or food processor and make a puree.
  7. Add this puree to the onions, once they are cooked.Mix and saute the mixture properly till you see that it has thickened and oil leaves the sides.
  8. Now add chopped capsicum and saute for 4 to 5 minutes.
  9. Then add salt, sugar, black pepper and mixed herbs.
  10. Mix everything properly and cook for a minute.
  11. Now mix the pasta lightly with this sauce such that it coats the pasta well.
  12. Serve hot.
My Tip: You can use any pasta of your choice and add any vegetables according to your taste.
