Ingredients to make Alovera pickle

  • Alovera 250 gram
  • oil 250 ml
  • 50 gram fenugreek seeds (crushed roughly)
  • 50 gram mustard powder( yellow sarson)
  • 1 tbsp onion seeds
  • 1 tbsp red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp asafoetida
  • 1 Tbsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tbsp dry mango powder
  • 50 gram Ramdev achar masala (can be replaced by any other ready-made masala)
  • salt to taste

How to make Alovera pickle

  1. Cut, wash and wipe off the alvoera with a clean cloth
  2. Now cut the alovera into small Square pieces
  3. Boil the pieces in water for 2 to 3 minutes and take it out
  4. Dry the alovera for 2 to 3 hours in sunlight to evopaorate water completely
  5. For making masala
  6. Heat oil in a pan, and switch of the flame, now keep it aside to lukewarm
  7. Add Asafoetida, onions seeds, and fennel seeds in oil
  8. Then add fenugreek seeds, mustard powder,red chilly, salt, pickle masala and dry mango powder and mix it well
  9. Now keep this masala aside to cool completely
  10. When it cool properly mix alovera pieces and mix well
  11. Store in airtight container

My Tip:

If you don't use ready-made masala, increase the quantity of chilly and salt oil should be lukewarm while adding spices
