ABOUT Makki ki roti RECIPE

Made with ground maize fiour, this Indian bread is best enjoyed with sarson ka saag

Ingredients Serving: 14

  1. Course maize flour 450 grams
  2. Butter 30 grams
  3. water 1.5 cups
  4. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Run the flour through a sieve (this will separate and break up clumps). Add salt and water and make a stiff dough. Make sure You gradually add the water and not all at once.
  2. Mix and well and use at once. Separate doughs to make one roti
  3. Shape the roti in a thick circular shape (Should be 1cm thick)
  4. Heat oil in a pan . Place the roti on the pan. Cook both the sides over a low flame.
  5. Smear Ghee or Butter over the roti and serve with your favorite pickle or side-dish.
