Aaloo and Paneer based patties stuffed with green peas served in sweet and tangy tomato gravy . Served with chapati.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. For gravy::
  2. Tomatoes half kg
  3. Cloves 5-6
  4. Salt 1 tesp
  5. Red chilli powder 1/4 tesp
  6. Garam masala powder 1/4 tesp
  7. Sugar 3 tbsp
  8. FRESH CREAM 2 TBSP
  9. For patties ::
  10. Potatoes half kg
  11. Salt 3/4 tesp
  12. Corn flour 3-4 tbsp
  13. Green Peas 1 cup
  14. Green coriander chutney 3-4 tbsp
  15. FRESH CREAM 2 TBSP
  16. all purpose flour 3 tbsp
  17. Water as needed
  18. Bread crumbs for coating
  19. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. First prepare tomato puree. Wash and cut tomatoes in half.
  2. Pressure cook tomatoes to one whistle with cloves and 2 tbsp water.
  3. Cool them and puree in blender. Seive the puree.
  4. Boil potatoes.
  5. When cooled completely, peel and grate.
  6. Add salt and cornflour. Mix well. Divide in equal portions and roll into patties.
  7. For stuffing blanch pea pearls.
  8. In a bowl take pea pearls, green coriander chutney, 2 tbsp fresh cream, salt and pepper. Mix.
  9. Stuff each Pattie with pea mixture.
  10. Make a semi thick slurry of all purpose flour and water.
  11. Dip each rolled Pattie in prepared slurry and then roll in bread crumbs.
  12. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry all patties.
  13. For gravy in a pan heat prepared tomato puree. Add salt, sugar, red chilli powder, garam masala and fresh cream.
  14. Cook covered for 10 minutes on low.
  15. Now in a baking dish arrange patties, top with tomato gravy and bake for 5 minutes.
  16. Garnish with fresh cream and green coriander leaves.
