Ingredients to make Rasam

  • 5 big tomatoes
  • 6-8 curry leaves
  • 1 spn jeera
  • 2spn fresh green coriander
  • 6-8 pods garlic
  • salt as per taste
  • 1spn chopped ginger
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • Mdh red chilly powder 1/2spn
  • 1/4spn garam masala powder
  • 1/4spn black pepper powder
  • 1 spn sarso
  • 4spn oil

How to make Rasam

  1. Boil tomatoes,peel then make puree keep aside
  2. Blend green coriander,garlic,ginger,black pepper,jeera...keep aside
  3. Heat a wok add oil..add Curry leaves & dry red chillies
  4. Nw add sarso..then add coarse masala of ginger garlic coriander..saute for 2min
  5. Nw add salt,red chilly powder,garam masala..again saute for 30 sec
  6. Nw add puree..then 1 glass of water...let it be boil for 2-3 minutes
  7. Serve hot with boil rice
My Tip: Serve this spicy & tangy soup with boil rice
