Ingredients to make Tomato sorba chicken

  • Chicken - 500gm
  • Tomato - 500gm
  • Onion chopped - 1 cup
  • Whole kashmiri red chili - 8 nos
  • Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Pepper corn - 10 nos
  • Coriander stems - 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chili powder - 2 tsp
  • Green cardamom - 2 nos
  • Cinnamon sticks - 2 nos
  • Black cardamom - 1 no
  • Besan - 1 Tsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste

How to make Tomato sorba chicken

  1. Making of sorba
  2. Heat oil in cooker and add whole masalas, add chopped tomato after masalas crackle.
  3. Cook for 2 minutes with adding besan .
  4. Now add coriander stems and steams and ample amount of water, salt and cover the cooker.
  5. Wait for 2 - 3 whistles.
  6. After cool down, put the boiled tomato in the mixer and grind them into paste .
  7. Strain the mixture and keep aside.
  8. Heat oil in another kadai and fry the chopped onion till colour has changed to brown.
  9. Now add ginger, garlic paste, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder and saute for 2 minutes.
  10. Add chicken pieces, salt and cover the kadai, continue to cook till chicken is soft.
  11. Once chicken is soft add two cups of thick tomato sorba , sugar and mix it well.
  12. Cook for more few minutes and check the salt .
  13. Dish is ready to serve with rice or roti.
My Tip: Donot add tomato sorba before chicken is becomes soft.
