ABOUT Bread Poha RECIPE

A yummy and love;y breakfast option when you are tired of eating regular bread toasts.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 7 slice of brown bread
  2. 1 small onion chopped
  3. 1 green chilli
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1 Lemon
  6. 6 to 7 leaves kadipatta
  7. 1 tbsp oil
  8. Coriander leaves for garnish
  9. 1/2 tsp rai [mustard seeds]
  10. 1/2 tsp sugar
  11. Water as required
  12. Pinch Hing [asafoetida]
  13. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

Instructions

  1. Take a pan Add oil, hing and Rai, when it crackles, add onion and saute add kadipatta and 1 green chilli finely chopped..
  2. when onion is pink in colour and cooked add sugar, salt. Haldi [turmeric powder] and red chilli powder...mix nicely..
  3. Now add 1 lemon juice and off gas add brown bread cut into cubes shape or small square shape off gas sprinkle water nicely and mix lightly so that the bread pieces do not get mushy.
  4. Add coriander leaves and cover the lid...on gas for 5 min and yummy poha is ready...
